Verity Ranks on the 2020 Inc. 5000 Series of DC Metro’s Fastest-Growing Companies

Inc. Magazine Unveils Its First-Ever List of DC Metro’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies—The Inc. 5000 Series: DC Metro

Inc. magazine revealed that Verity Commercial is on its inaugural Inc. 5000 Series: DC Metro list, a prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in DC, MD, and VA. This regional list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the DC Metro economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent businesses.

The companies on this list show stunning rates of growth across all industries in the DC metropolitan area. Between 2016 and 2018, these 250 private companies had an average growth rate of 196% and, in 2018 alone, they employed over 88,000 people and added $6.5 billion in revenue to the greater DC area’s economy. Companies based in the Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, and Richmond, VA, metro areas brought in the highest revenue overall.

“After 10 years in business and still experiencing above national average sales growth is incredible,” says Herm Diebler Verity Co-Founder. “We’re thankful for our clients and immensely proud of our team ––both have been the foundation of our continued growth and success each year.”

In addition to this honor, Verity was recognized by Inc. 5000 3 times in 4 years as one of the Fastest Growing Companies in America, received the Virginia’s Fantastic 50 Award as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in Virginia, and was named 2019 ACE Business of the Year.

“It’s an honor to be on this list and ranked along with the DC Metro’s most successful businesses,” says Ken Traenkle Co-Founder of Verity. “Our clients, business partners, and Verity’s team are to thank for our repeated recognition.”

Verity thanks its valued clients, peers, and dedicated team members who made this recognition possible.

Verity Commercial is a multidisciplinary firm that approaches commercial real estate from three directions: development & construction services, brokerage, and investment sales. Our breadth of expertise gives clients more options and the perspective to make better decisions. Our fast-growing development & construction services focuses on three core industries: data centers/mission critical, life sciences, and mixed-use projects. Our brokerage practice focuses on clients who need strategic thinking rather than transactional results. Also, our investment practice combines our market knowledge, strategic thinking, and technical expertise required for investors to build a successful portfolio.

The 2020 Inc. 5000 Regional Series is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2016 and 2018. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2016. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2018. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2016 is $100,000; the minimum for 2018 is $1 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons.
