This is a large-scale 456,650-sf improvement project to the existing Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria, VA. Renovations include patient elevator modernization (3 elevators), adding a DaVinci Surgical Robot system to the operation room, site lighting upgrades, furniture replacement that establishes a new standard for furniture and furniture finishes, and renovating towers A & B 4th floor 32 bed LTACH (long term acute care) unit.
As part of the LTACH project, a 7,000-sf CIRH Enabling (Critical Illness Recovery Hospital) that includes 52 patient room beds will be added/renovated. Phase 1 is the IT office, 6th floor, Blue lobby and minor cosmetic improvements and Phase 2 is the 2nd floor administrate suite renovation.
Also, part of the project includes renovation of the old pharmacy space on the 1st floor to create a new outpatient clinic space for the VSA group. The new clinic has 7 exam rooms, an office and a reception area.
